Mumbai, 25 April: The popular Bollywood film Andaz Apna Apna, starring Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, is being re-released in cinemas on Friday, April 25. Before the re-release, a special screening of the movie was held. However, Aamir Khan did not attend the event.
Aamir explained that he skipped the screening because he was deeply upset by the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The entire country is shocked and heartbroken by this tragic event. Many celebrities have also expressed their sorrow and anger over what happened.
Aamir spoke to journalist Subhash K Jha and said, “I was reading reports about what happened at Pahalgam in Kashmir. I have been badly affected by the senseless killing of innocents. I was in no state to go (to the preview). I will see it sometime later this week.”
Aamir is not the only celebrity who reacted to the tragedy. Shah Rukh Khan also shared his thoughts on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). He wrote, “Words fail to express the sadness and anger at the treachery and inhumane act of violence that has occurred in Pahalgam. In times like these, one can only turn to God and say a prayer for the families that suffered and express my deepest condolences. May we as a nation stand united, strong, and get justice against this heinous act.”
While Andaz Apna Apna is releasing again, another film is also hitting the theatres on April 25. Emraan Hashmi’s new movie, Ground Zero, is now showing in cinemas. The film is based on a real-life story. It tells the story of Border Security Force (BSF) officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. He led a two-year investigation and mission to capture a terrorist named Ghazi Baba (Rana Tahir Nadeem) in Kashmir. Ghazi Baba was involved in the 2001 Indian Parliament attack.
