A topic has sparked debate amongst netizens over the distribution of condoms and ORS(Oral Rehydration Solution) packets in New Year Party invitations and a well-known restaurant and pub. The Cafe in Mundhwa sent out invitations with a gift bag including condoms and ORS packets. This issue has received criticism from many well-known figures and citizens.
Maharashtra Youth Congress Department lodged a formal complaint to the Pune Police Commissioner, pointing out the club’s actions, and said that it has been rather unorthodox and sets a very wrong example for the youth of India and these acts can place a harmful image in the society.
However, the High Spirit defended its statement and in conclusion, said that the gift bags were for protection and to celebrate the event safely which was one of the themes for the party in 2025, they also pointed out the objectives of the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO). They said that the growth of clubbing culture has increased but also being cautious is the top priority. Many also spoke in defense of the club’s actions.
