Under his leadership, Epigamia expanded its product range to include smoothies, milkshakes, plant-based yogurts, and lactose-free curd, becoming a prominent player in India’s health snack segment. COO Ankur Goel and co-founder Uday Thakker will lead daily operations, supported by the board, including the Mirchandani family, Verlinvest, and DSG Consumer Partners.
In a statement, Goel and Thakker expressed their grief: “All of us at the Epigamia family will deeply mourn this loss. Rohan’s loss was felt as a mentor and professionally as a leader within the company across the board as he had quite a strong vision for the team. We are still dedicated to the vision he outlined, and we will get even stronger in making it happen. Rohan’s ideals and image will shape us as we work to strengthen the legacy he left us.
The board of Epigamia also paid tribute, stating Mirchandani had been “not only a visionary leader but also an inspiration to all who said they knew him. “Harsh Mariwala, Marico’s chairman, shared that his demise was a big loss to the entrepreneurial community.
Mirchandani’s passing has shed light on the rising number of heart attacks among youngsters. The issues range from undiagnosed heart disease to lifestyle triggers, and stress, amongst themselves. Raising awareness for preventive measures, generally continuing cardiac checks, and early detection of predispositions are all requisite to reduce the incidences of heart unrest among the younger aged.
