Air India flight makes an emergency landing after an engine failure mid-air

January 5, Bengaluru: An Air India flight, made an emergency landing after its engine failed in mid-air. Flight 2820, was headed to Delhi from Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, around 7 pm. However, after take-off, the flight had to return one hour after it took off.

According to the reports, the sources say that the event occurred on the 5th of January, the officials confirmed with the press that all the passengers were safe and were not caused any harm. The technicalities of the engine failure were not disclosed as of now.

When the flight was on air after the emergency issue was disclosed to the crew, soon after the emergency protocols were activated to avoid panic in the flight amongst the passengers, the crew handled it perfectly after the emergency landing was done after circling over the city for an hour.

The Air India airline is reported to have conducted a technical investigation to find the root cause of the engine failure.
