Lucknow, May 3: The Vishwa Hindu Raksha Parishad has called for a large-scale Dharma Sansad in Lucknow after the recent Pahalgam incident, which has sparked widespread outrage among Hindu organizations. The congregation is set to take place at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, drawing religious leaders and saints from across India. Key participants from Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura are expected to be present, underlining the event’s significance for the broader Hindu community.
According to organizers, the Dharma Sansad will serve as a platform to discuss issues related to the safety and dignity of Hindus in the country. The central focus will be on the Pahalgam incident, which, the Parishad claims, reflects a growing pattern of targeted violence against Hindus. In response, the body aims to propose concrete measures to protect the community and prevent future occurrences.
One of the key proposals expected to be passed at the Dharma Sansad is the call for a Hindu Rashtra (Hindu nation), a long-standing demand of certain right-wing organizations. The Parishad asserts that such a transformation is essential to ensure the safety of Hindus and to stop what it calls “cowardly terrorist acts” that involve questioning individuals based on their religion.
In an assertive step, the Vishwa Hindu Raksha Dal, the Parishad’s affiliated body, announced plans to establish Sanatan Kavach community protection offices in Muslim-dominated areas to safeguard Hindus and temples. “We will not tolerate any further attacks on our faith,” said a spokesperson for the Parishad, emphasizing the need for active defense mechanisms.
In addition, a Sanatan Yatra is scheduled to be held in June, focusing on protesting the alleged atrocities against Hindus in West Bengal. The Parishad has also declared the launch of a Sanatan Helpline in Murshidabad to provide immediate support to affected families.
The Parishad plans to honor individuals and organizations protecting Hindu values with the Sanatan Gaurav Samman to further unite the Hindu community. The event has been widely publicized in Lucknow through posters at key intersections, including Kalidas Chauraha, the BJP office, and near Akhilesh Yadav’s residence.
The Dharma Sansad is expected to conclude with the adoption of multiple resolutions aimed at building a unified Hindu front in response to what is being portrayed as a national crisis.
