In recent times social media have been filled with various videos of plane accidents and crashes, about aircraft incidents in Canada, Azerbaijan, and now most commonly in South Korea with the Jeju Air killing 179 passengers.
- Oslo to Amsterdam
The flight KL1204 from Oslo and Amsterdam, the flight veered off after landing, and the aircraft veered off after landing into the grass at a low speed. There were 176 passengers and 6 crew members who were not harmed and are safe, why this incident happened is being investigated said their airline company, Royal Dutch Airlines.
- Azerbaijan Plane Crash
Flight J2-8243 crashed fire near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan, several Ukrainian and Russian drones were attacking several cities. This passenger jet with 67 people on board crashed into Western Kazakhstan. As per the reports the flight veered its position from its planned route. At least 38 people were killed while 29 survived.
The plane flew from the Azerbaijan capital Baku which falls near Southern Russia. On Saturday Russia’s Vladimir Putin formally apologized to the President of Azerbaijan for this incident which happened in Russian Airsphere. Aliyev said, “Our plane was shot down by accident,” Aliyev also added he wanted to accept Russia’s guilty attempt and punish those responsible.
- Fire on the Canadian plane
A viral footage of a plane catching fire is being circulated online, where the passengers recall seeing the smoke, the local media reported. On 28th December, around 9:30 pm, an Air Canada Express Flight 2259 operated by Pal Airlines, experienced an aircraft incident upon arrival at Halifax Airport. All passengers were saved from this incident after being taken out from the plane transporting off the airplane.
- Jeju Aircraft Blast
A passenger flight arriving from Bangkok, burst into a fireball after it skidded off the runway at the South Korean Airport and crashed into a concrete fence the gear is said to have failed to deploy, killing 179 people on board the country officials added, “It’s one of the disastrous aviation accidents we have faced”.
The Emergency Fire Agency was trying to pull people out, but the officials could only manage to pull out two people, one passenger, and a crew member. It took 32 fire trucks and several helicopters to contain the arson. Among the 177 bodies found so far, the officials have only identified 88 of them, as stated by the fire agency. The passengers were predominantly Korean, and out of those 2 were of Thai Nationality.
The Current acting President Choi Sang Mok announced a national mourning period of 7 days from 29th December to 5th of January, during which all national or entertainment events will be canceled or postponed, all public officials will wear mourning ribbons, and has declared Muan as special disaster Zone and built a memorial alters will be built to respect and honor the passengers involved.
