The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence is investigating whether local police officers knowingly or unknowingly aided her smuggling. The case has raised serious concerns about the misuse of influence within law enforcement.
Authorities have not issued an official statement, but sources confirm that more arrests could follow as the investigation deepens. Ranya Rao is expected to face stringent legal action for her alleged involvement in gold smuggling.
