20 January, Mumbai: The much-awaited Bigg Boss 18 finale concluded with Karan Veer Mehra emerging as the winner of Salman Khan’s reality show. Mehra, who succeeded Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui, claimed the winner’s trophy and a grand cash prize of ₹50 lakh. The gold-themed trophy, reflecting the lavish interiors of the Bigg Boss house, added to the glittering victory.
The top two finalists were Karan Veer Mehra and Vivian Dsena, while Rajat Dalal was the second runner-up. Rajat’s eviction left Mehra and Dsena battling for the title in the final moments of the season.
Rajat Dalal, despite his massive fanbase and support from YouTuber Elvish Yadav, fell short of expectations. Dalal’s journey in the house was marred by controversies over his aggressive behavior and often disrespectful interactions with co-contestants. While he initially positioned himself as a protector of women, his later clashes, particularly with female contestants, left fans disappointed. Even a rare emotional moment with his mother visiting the house drew skepticism, with many dismissing it as a ploy for sympathy.
Elvish Yadav, a popular YouTuber, had actively campaigned for Dalal, even pledging iPhone 16 Pro Max devices to 100 individuals who voted the most for Dalal using multiple accounts. Despite these efforts, Dalal’s perceived sense of entitlement and divisive behavior became stumbling blocks on his journey to the top.
The grand finale was a spectacle, filled with emotional moments, drama, and celebrations as the finalists reflected on their journeys. Karan Veer Mehra’s win was widely celebrated, as he earned immense praise for his balanced and composed demeanor throughout the season. His strategic gameplay and ability to maintain relationships in the house played a crucial role in his victory.
