In another incident, a tragic family dispute unfolded in Mumbai’s Qureshi Nagar, where a 41-year-old woman allegedly stabbed her 62-year-old mother to death during a heated argument.
The accused, Reshma Muzaffar Qazi, reportedly attacked her mother, Sabira Bano Azgar Sheikh, in a fit of rage following a confrontation over perceived favoritism. Reshma claimed her mother favored her elder sister, leading to long-standing resentment. The altercation escalated when Sabira, who was visiting Reshma from her son’s home in Mumbra, attempted to mediate the situation.
According to police, Reshma grabbed a kitchen knife during the argument and brutually stabbed Sabira. After committing the crime, Reshma walked into the Chunabhatti police station and confessed.
