Mumbai Police gets Hoax threat call about Terror attack on Modi’s Aircraft

Feb 12, Wednesday, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed for a two-nation visit from the national capital Delhi on Feb 10, Sunday. Mumbai police received a threat call regarding a threat to PM Modi’s aircraft.

A Mentally ill person was taken into custody for allegedly making a threatening call to the Mumbai Police Control Room regarding a terror attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aircraft, the police said on Wednesday.

The man was detained in Chembur in Mumbai. This comes after the police said that PM Modi may have been a target of terrorists when he was departing for his visit to France and the US. The police informed that the Mumbai Police Control Room received a call that warned that the terrorists may attack the Prime Minister’s aircraft as he was departing for a foreign trip.

The police shared information with other investigation agencies and launched a probe. “On 11th February, a call was received at Mumbai Police Control Room warning that terrorists may attack PM Modi’s aircraft as he was leaving on an official visit abroad. Considering the serious nature of the information, the Police informed other agencies and began an investigation,” Mumbi Police said.
