Mumbai Police are on high alert after receiving an anonymous email warning about a possible bomb blast. The email, sent to the Maharashtra Police control room in Colaba on Monday, warned that a big blast could take place within the next three days, either in Maharashtra or anywhere in the country. The warning has come at a tense time, as India-Pakistan relations are currently strained.

The email appears to have been sent from an ID under the name “Mamata Borse”. In the message, the sender warned the police to remain alert, saying that the blast could happen suddenly and without any time to respond. The exact location or time of the possible attack was not mentioned, which makes it even more worrying.

The email said: “I request that you (the police) be alert today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow due to one big blast happening suddenly… so no time to find where and when it will happen… but it’s nearby time. So please don’t ignore it being possible for our state or anywhere in the country.”

Mumbai Police have taken the threat seriously. They have informed anti-terror agencies and have started an investigation to trace the person who sent the email. Officials are trying to find out whether it is a real threat or just a prank. The police are using cybercrime experts and digital tracking tools to get more information.

A police officer said that the Mumbai Police control room and traffic police control room often receive many fake warning calls and messages. However, every alert is checked carefully, and if someone is found to be sending hoax messages or creating panic, strict legal action is taken against them.

On the same day, former Member of Parliament Navneet Ravi Rana and her husband, MLA Ravi Rana, received death threats from an unknown mobile number. The Khar police have registered a non-cognisable offence in the case. The police are also looking into who sent these threats.

In recent months, several celebrities and politicians, including actor Salman Khan, actor Tiger Shroff, and politician Zeeshan Siddique, have received threat messages or calls. Mumbai Police are always facing such issues and making every effort to keep the public safe.

People are asked to remain calm and vigilant. The police have requested people to inform them of any suspicious movements and not create panic or rumors.
