New Delhi, April 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute appointment letters to over 51,000 newly appointed youth during the 15th edition of the Rojgar Mela on Saturday at 11 am via video conferencing. The event, taking place across 47 locations nationwide, reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to employment generation and youth empowerment.
During the event, PM Modi will also address the appointees and encourage them to actively participate in national development. The job recipients, selected from across India, will be inducted into various departments and ministries of the Central Government, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Railways, the Department of Revenue, the Department of Posts, the Ministry of Labor and Employment, and more.
This employment initiative is part of the government’s drive to provide timely and transparent recruitment to government posts, ensuring young Indians receive better career opportunities. By strengthening the administrative framework through a robust and youthful workforce, the initiative aims to enhance governance and service delivery.
The Rojgar Mela series was launched by the Prime Minister on 22 October 2022 with a vision to provide 10 lakh government jobs by the end of 2023. By November 2023, over 7 lakh youth had received appointment letters across 11 fairs. The 12th fair, held on 12 February 2024, witnessed the distribution of over 1 lakh job letters, while the 14th fair, on 23 December 2024, saw 71,000 appointees receive their joining letters.
This marks the third employment fair under Prime Minister Modi’s third term, following the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The government has thus far handed over job letters to more than 922,000 youth through these job fairs.
The initiative is expected to bring new enthusiasm among the youth and enhance their participation in nation-building efforts. As PM Modi continues to prioritize youth employment, today’s Rojgar Mela stands as another milestone in the government’s mission to create a stronger and more inclusive workforce.
