PSLV-C60 launched by ISRO, with SpaDex

December 30, Sriharikota: On Monday ISRO launched, PSLV-C60 along with SpaDex, and innovative payloads from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. ISRO has achieved this milestone before the New Year began.

ISRO has made a new mission that involves the merging of two satellites in space, which is rare in such cases, especially in space. This project is named “Space Docking Experiment” (SpaDex). SpaDex mission is totally affordable technology demonstrator mission for the demonstration of the launching of two small aircraft into space, by PSLV.

The main objective of this action is the docking of two small spacecraft, SDX01, which is the Chaser, and SDX02, The Target, Nominally within the Low circular orbit. This technological challenge has been achieved by very few countries, this mission is named “Bhartiya Docking System”. The Docking Technology is crucial for long-term missions like Chandrayaan-4 and future space missions for India.

Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh says, “The success of this mission is vital for India’s future space ambitions”.
