Pushpa 2 Director Sukumar wants to quit filmmaking after the Stampede Controversy

The release of Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 5, directed by Sukumar, is smashing box office records, surpassing the 1000 crore club, which makes it the highest-grossing film this year. However. after this record-breaking victory, he shares his thoughts about wanting to leave the filmmaking industry.

Sukumar and the people from the movie industry attended an event in Hyderabad and were asked about one thing that he would want to leave, however Sukumar without thinking twice answered “Cinema”, the word came out as a shock to everyone present there including Ram Charan, who was seated right next to the filmmaker. After he said that Ram Charan quickly took his mic and said he must not do so as he’s one of the most successful directors in the industry, directing one of the highest-grossing films.

However, netizens believe he said this because of the hate train which followed him and the whole of the film crew due to the recent Stampede Controversy which sparked debate on various social media platforms in which Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 which was connected to the stampede case, Allu Arjun was sent to a 14-day Judicial Custody soon after he was granted bail after a several hours of investigation. The actor filmed a video sending heartfelt condolences to the family for their loss and gave Rs. 25 Lakh for the assistance of the family.

Some believe this might be a reason why the Pushpa 2 director poured out his emotions through the thought of wanting to leave the cinema.
