Recently, a major terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 innocent people were killed. After this attack, India decided to take strong action against Pakistan and launched a military operation called “Operation Sindoor.” In this operation, the Indian Air Force destroyed 9 terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). A major success in this operation was the killing of Rauf Azhar, the mastermind behind the 1999 Kandahar hijacking (IC-814), who was involved in many terrorist activities in India.
In response, Pakistan launched missile attacks on 15 Indian cities, but India’s air defense system stopped all the missiles, preventing any damage. To retaliate, India carried out a drone strike on the Rawalpindi Stadium, destroying it. This attack caused the cancellation of a match in the 2025 Pakistan Super League that was supposed to be held in Rawalpindi.
Now, the Pakistan Cricket Board is considering relocating the game to Karachi or some other overseas destination. At first, the PCB had asserted that the games would proceed according to schedule, but now everything has changed.
By taking this step, India has given a clear message that it will adopt strong measures against terrorism and will not be browbeaten by those who support terrorism.
