Buldhana, Maharashtra: At least five people died and 25 were injured early on Wednesday due to a tragic road accident at around 5:30 am in Khamgaon, Buldana district of Maharashtra. A Bolero SUV was hit by an MSRTC bus on the Khamgaon-Shegaon highway, followed by a private bus running into the wreckage soon after, leading to further devastation.

As per police officials, the impact of the crash was so severe that the private bus’s front cabin was utterly destroyed, trapping the driver. Rescuers operations are ongoing to free him. The injured passengers have been sent to hospital for treatment, while the authorities are investigating the exact cause of the accident.

Some reports suggest that early morning fog reducing visibility could have caused the collision. Emergency responders, including police and medical teams, reached the spot immediately and managed to clear the road after several hours of rescue efforts.

Murshidabad Tragedy: Four Members of a Family Killed

In another horrific road accident, four family members including a two-year-old child lost their lives after a dumper truck collided with a two-wheeler in West Bengal’s Murshidabad Dale. The accident occurred on Tuesday evening in the Samsherganj area when the victims were traveling from Dak Bungalow More to Farakka.

Block officials reported that the dumper truck crashed into the two-wheeler and ran over the four of them. The deceased have been identified as Ejaz Sheikh and Jahul Sheikh and his two-year-old son Asif Sheikh, all residents of Mahadevnagar village in Farakka police station limits. According to authorities, the dumper truck struck the two-wheeler from behind, crushing all four victims. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but were declared dead upon arrival.

The tragic incident led to public outrage, with an angry mob blocking the road for over an hour. The protesters also damaged several stranded vehicles, including the dumper truck. However, police intervened swiftly to restore order and took the truck driver into custody.
