According to the Shanti Nagar police, the survivor, who was staying at her aunt’s house in Fatima Nagar, received a message from her brother’s phone on February 21, urging her to come to a specific location immediately. Unaware of the trap, she took a rickshaw and reached the spot at around 2 am. Upon arrival, the accused, who had already kidnapped and brutally assaulted her brother, attacked the rickshaw driver and dragged the woman to a nearby bush. There, they gang-raped her before continuing the assault in a van. The perpetrators later abandoned her on the roadside.

The woman, traumatized and injured, managed to reach the Bhiwandi Taluka police station to report the crime. She is currently receiving medical treatment, while her brother is also recovering from the physical assault.

Police investigations revealed that the main accused, her ex-boyfriend, had orchestrated the attack out of revenge after she ended their relationship. Believing she was involved with another man, he conspired with his friends to kidnap her brother and use his phone to lure her to the isolated location.

Senior Police Inspector Vinayak Gaikwad confirmed that two of the six accused have been arrested, while the others remain at large. Three others have been partially identified by their first names—Pasha, Laddoo, and Golu—but the identities of the remaining two are still unknown.

The case has been registered under Sections 64(2)(d) (Rape), 70(1) (Gang Rape), 115(2) (Voluntary Hurt), and 3(5) (Criminal Act Committed by Several People with Common Intent) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita. The police are intensifying efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects and ensure justice for the survivors.
